Rob Olson
Rob has
represented the 26th District since 2005. Rob currently serves on the
House Federal and State Affairs and Economic Development and Tourism
Committees. He was appointed Vice Chair of the House Energy and
Utilities Committee and also serves on two Joint Committees, Special
Claims Against the State and Pensions, Investments and Benefits,
respectively. Rob was elected Majority Whip of the Republican Caucus
in 2006. As Majority Whip, Rob now has a unique opportunity to better
serve the citizens of
the 26th District as well as assist other Republican legislators serve
their districts. 
The Majority Whip
The House Majority Whip is a key member of House Republican Leadership. The Majority Whip works with members to help them understand the key positions of the Caucus. He also assists the leadership in seeking the support of all Republican members of the House on a variety of issues. Records indicate that the first Kansas House Majority Whip was elected in 1993. There has been a Republican serving as Majority Whip since 1995.
The District
The 26th District of Kansas is located in the southeast corner of
Johnson County. The district is comprised mainly of the City of Olathe. The district boundaries are
roughly I-35 ON the northwest, Blackbob Street on the east and 175th Street forms the southern border. Click here for a district map.
