Biography
Don Dahl was first elected to represent the 70th District in 1997. From 2002 to 2006, Don served as chairman of the House Committee on Commerce & Labor. In 2006 Don was elected by his peers to the position of Speaker Pro Tem of the Kansas House of Representatives.

The District
The 70th District contains part of the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills and scenic rural farmland. Stretching from the western Marion County line to the eastern Chase County line, the 70th District includes the cities of Marion, Hillsboro, Peabody, Strong City and Cottonwood Falls. The south boundary dips into the rural northern Butler County. One leisurely drive down the Flint Hills Scenic Byway (K-177) will provide a glimpse of the charm and history this district posesses.
