Speaker Announces Staff Additions
Kansas House of Representatives Speaker Melvin Neufeld announced he has selected Josh Harlow to serve as his Legislative Assistant and Sherriene Jones-Sontag as his Director of Communications and Caucus Information.
Josh Harlow recently received a bachelor’s degree with honors from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, where he was also student body president. Previous work experience includes serving as a policy assistant for the Federal Communication Commission’s Chief Economist and completing internships for The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and the Secretary of Labor. Josh was born and raised in Chillicothe, Missouri where his parents were small business owners.
Sherriene Jones-Sontag brings more than 12 years of media experience to the Speaker’s office including seven years at KSNT-TV in Topeka as an Anchor, Senior Reporter and Senior Producer. She left the media world to work for the Kansas Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs as its Internet Safety Director. She most recently served as Director of Communications for former Attorney General Phill Kline.
Harlow and Jones-Sontag join Chief of Staff Michelle Butler and Executive Office Assistant Rita Mailen to complete Speaker Neufeld’s staff.
