REP. COLLOTON NAMED TO LEGAL TASK FORCE
Topeka - Kansas House of Representative Pat Colloton (R-Leawood) announced today she has been invited to join The Council of State Government’s (CSG) Legal Task Force.
“I am honored to accept this invitation. The Legal Task Force is CSG’s voice the United States Supreme Court turns to when the Court is considering important cases with federalism implications,” said Rep. Colloton. “It is of the utmost importance to all states we maintain the appropriate Constitutional balance between federal and state concerns.”
The Legal Task Force reviews each draft brief to determine whether CSG should endorse it.
In a letter to Rep. Colloton, CSG 2007 President Brad Henry, governor of Oklahoma, noted she was invited to join the task force because of her interest and expertise in the field.
