ON 100% VOTING RECORD
Topeka – Kansas Speaker of the House of Representatives Melvin Neufeld (R-Ingalls) congratulated Representative Jeff King (R-Independence) today on his 100% voting record during the 2007 Legislative Session.
“By voting on every issue before the House during his first session in the legislature, Rep. King showed not only his dedication to represent his district well but also his commitment to always be on the job for his constituents and to never shy away from the tough votes,” Speaker Neufeld said.
The House voted more than 480 times on bills, amendments, and resolutions during the session.
Rep. King represents the 12th House District which includes Elk County and parts of Chautauqua and Montgomery Counties and the cities of Chautauqua, Niotaze, Peru, Sedan, Elk City and Independence.
He serves on the House Taxation, Transportation, and Governmental Efficiency and Technology Committees and is a member of the 2007 Assessment and Taxation Committee Interim Committee.
