ON 100% VOTING RECORD
Topeka – Kansas Speaker of the House of Representatives Melvin Neufeld (R-Ingalls) congratulated Representatives Joe McLeland (R-Wichita) and today on his 100% voting record during the 2007 Legislative Session.
“Rep. McLeland voted every time House members had a bill or resolutions before them. This shows not only his dedication to his district well but also his commitment to always be on the job for his constituents and to never shy away from the tough votes,” Speaker Neufeld said.
The House recorded more than 480 votes on bills, amendments and resolutions during the session.
First elected to the Kansas Legislature in 2001, Rep. McLeland represents the 94th House District which includes central west Wichita and parts of Attica, Delano and Waco Townships in Sedgwick County. He is the Chairman of the Joint Legislative Committee on Information Technology and of the House Education Budget Committee. He also serves on the House Appropriations and Government Efficiency and Technology Committees.
