REP. METSKER NAMED TO INTERIM COMMITTEE
Topeka – Kansas Speaker of the House of Representatives Melvin Neufeld (R-Ingalls) announced today he has appointed Rep. Ronnie Metsker (R-Overland Park) to the 2007 Financial Institutions and Insurance Interim Committee.
“Rep. Metsker’s service on the House Health and Human Services Committee during his first session gives him a solid understanding of the health care issues facing our state that will serve the interim committee well,” Speaker Neufeld said. “This appointment also will provide a great opportunity for him to broaden his legislative knowledge on issues important to him and those he serves.”
The nine-member committee will meet six times between now and the next session to study:
- Regulation of Credit Unions
- Health Care Tax Credits and Benefits
Rep. Metsker represents the 24th District which includes the cities of Countryside, Mission and parts of Overland Park and Roeland Park. He serves on the House Health and Human Services; Commerce and Labor and Elections and Governmental Organization Committees.
